This is one of my students turned besties of friends! Laurie is our conceirge at the Waikiki Beach Marriott and she had a complementary lesson from me about 4 years ago or so. Now, we try to surf every Tuesday morning at 6:30am. We meet in the water with her boyfriend, Mike Shimooka. We surf the surf spot Queens which is just a rock through away from the area where we teach surf lessons. This is why we do what we do and why we started Faith Surf School. We taught friends and kids in our neighborhood how to surf and enjoyed it so much and that birthed our company. Laurie and Mike just did the most amazing thing for me this summer....they bought me a Donald Takayama Surfboard!!!! OH! It is far the BEST board I have ever ridden! EVER! Love you Laurie!!!...and mike :)
