WE CAN DO ANYTHING!

This is Bethany Hamilton, Nick Vujicic, and Tony. Bethany and Nick are an inspiration to us. When Bethany lost her arm to a shark attack a few years ago, it didn't stop her from doing what she loves...surfing. I watched her get back into the water in the North Shore and was totally amazed by her ability to pick up the pieces of her life and move forward without hesitation. She is an amazing surfer and she charges big waves as well! What a gem of a girl! One day we were hanging out at a contest with the girls and she started singing, "It's too late to appologize.....it's too late...." Then as soon as she started singing that song she stopped and said, "He guys.... it's NEVER too late to appologize." ;) What a sweetie she is. That put a smile on my face.

Nick is another amazing man. He is about 23 years old. He has no arms, or legs. We were asked to help Bethany give Nick a surf lesson at Waikiki and at first I was wondering how I would feel or act when I met him. I first felt like I would be uncomfortable and not want to make him feel uncomfortable. BUT, as soon as he looked me in the eye and said, "hi", I saw a man so sure about himself. He made ME feel so comfortable, well actually, you kinda forget about his....what would you call it? If I first thought he had a problem, his strong presence of love, compassion, confidence, gratefulness, and passion made me feel like I was the one with the problem. Seriously. He didn't have to say a thing about anything deep, but you got a deep message in your soul. Check out his website:

Did he surf? He not only got up on his own board, but when he and tony tandemed together, he walked up to the nose and turned around! ha! This guy is amazing! Love him!
