It was an awesome night of excitement and anticipation as our family watched SIster surf from the quarter finals to the finals! She went up against the best in the world...first in the quarter finals, she went up with one of her longtime favorite surfers, Kassia Meador. Then in the semi finals, 2 time world champion Jen Smith. In the final, she battled it out with a tough little Aussie Chelsea Williams who has a wicked power turn and can nose ride with style as well. Sis lost to her by a few points, but it was truly an exciting final! I can just imagine her friends cheering her on!
This was a big contest for her to do well in. China and Swatch put out an eventful contest as well as paid for all the top 24 longboarders in the world to come to China and put them up in a 5 Star hotel and feed them! What a treat! Sis said the people in China are so nice and treated them like royalty! Lucky girls!
After this, she leaves to Bali with some of the Roxy team to get some surf and shots for the new Roxy line! Gosh, what a wonderful life!
