Every year, our Josh has been making finals of the NSSA National Championships.... getting 2nd! This year again, on a last wave of Kalani David, it pushed him from 1st to second on the buzzer. It was a close one, and maybe the scoring was a bit high, but it is what it is.... in all... Josh has a champions heart. He has fought hard and quiet, works hard, surfs the longest out of all our kids...maybe all of them put together!... he is a powerful and stylish surfer...and I know one day he will do it. A friend told my kids long ago, learn to win with humility, and lose with grace. Josh does that all the time. When he wins, he is so humble, when he loses, he loses with grace. A great sport. A great young man. Surfing is one aspect of our life. It seems to consume it, but living is another.
