Here is our family friend, Barak. I loved this picture of him as he sat and watched a few heats from the rock wall. It is so peaceful...but that is what you get when you drink in the beauty of our Hawaiian Islands. Barak is a very special young man. He has a sweet disposition and is an awesome person who has strong values. He is also one of our success stories for our surf school! He took lessons with us about 4 years ago. He came and was very apprehensive of the whole situation. But as he continued in lessons ( I think he took about 10), he took off on his own as he got the "stoke" for surfing. It was his own now....today, he is competing against Hawaii's best, and you could say the world's best teenage surfers! It is truely amazing how good he got in just a short time. He has a passion to get better and has been training with us every week too. Good job, Barak, we're so proud of you!
