Yesterday, I had a North Shore Surf Tour with Chika-san and at the same time, my daughter had a tour with Yumi-san. We took them to the North Shore and it was PERFECT!!! The waves were 20 feet faces, weather was a perfect 10, and no traffic there and back! We ate lunch at Sharks Cove (Ahi Sandwich... A MUST) At Sunset Beach we saw Michael, Derek and Coco Ho....as well as my oldest son, Micah who just came in from surfing Sunset. It was a special treat to see him! They got to see Lani's going off, Chuns closing out, Waimea Bay breaking at the peak but only 15 foot faces, Rock Piles (20 foot faces), Pipeline (not breaking or showing anything), the Volcom house, Billabong House, and the beautiful Sunset Beach which was the spot that day... breaking from the point all the way to the west bowl and some awesome barrels.
We cruised back to town for a surf at Waikiki which was 4-6 foot faces! I just have to say that we scored all day! It really couldn't be better.
Hawaii is a wonderful place to be.... love it!
