NSSA is Hawaii's most prestigious amateur surfing event. All the top island boys and girls surf this event. THe Regionals is the last event that has double the points before they get seated and go off the California to surf the National Event for the National Title. Our family has been going for the last 4 years and it is something we all look forward to....to see someone win! ;)
This year, our 3 boys did exceptionally well at the Regional event. Here are the results:
ISAIAH 15 years
Open Mens Division: 2nd Place
Open Junior Mens Division: 2nd Place
Explorer Juniors: 6th Place
JOSHUA 13 years old
Open Juniors: 4th Place
Explorers Boys: 2nd Place
SETH 12 Years old
Open Boys: 1st Place
Explorer Menehune: 1st Place
The great thing is all my boys made all their finals! That is something very hard to do because the competition is crazy! The best thing is that they surfed with passion and were really focused. Love it!
In this picture Josh and Isaiah were surfing together in the Finals of the Open Juniors. And Rainos is their coach from Billabong that is just amazing!
