This is Hawaii's World Junior Team. Every year the ISA gets teams from every country to represent their country in the sport of surfing. This is, to me, on of the most prestigious events as a amateur competitive surfer. This year, they picked our son, Isaiah, to be part of the 16 and under boys division. Only 4 boys in all Hawaii were chosen. Tony and I are so proud of him and not only his surfing abilities, but proud of the young man he is becoming. The team is leaving to New Zealand on January 14th for 2 weeks of competition and fun. What I love about this event, is that it is a team event. You can win as an individual, but you also win as a team They do it like the Olympics so when you win, you win the gold! Last years team made Hawaii proud by bringing home the silver medal!
