Isaiah Moniz gets picked for Hawaii World Junior Surf Team
The Hawaii World Junior Surf Team is one of the most presigious Amateur events. It actually is a surf event that happens every year and every country gets to choose a team that consists of: 4- 18 and under boys, 4- 16 and under boys, and 4- 18 and under girls. That is it! OUt of all the amazing and talented surfers that Hawaii has, only 4 in each division gets selected. The coaches for the team watch them throughout the year and then have a training camp and choose about 8 in each division. Then they select them and they get seeded by 1st to 4th.
I am proud to announce that my son.....oops, OUR son, Isaiah (15 years) got selected to be the 2nd seed!!!! I am so excited and proud of him! He had to fight so hard and keep his head down from other distractions and work hard do what wants.
Again, training and coaching pays off! As well as respect and sportsmanship! Great job son!
