Yesterday my daughter and I took our friends from the North Shore out for a surfing adventure in Waikiki!!! This is where it comes in handy to have a surf school, stocked with good boards, in the best place in the WORLD to LEARN TO SURF!!!! We took out the wives and daughter of the surfing industries big boys! If you heard of Andy Irons, Kai Borg, and Pat Stacey (Billabong's TOP Photographer), well, they each come along with wives!... and my very dear, fun, loving friends! We surfed head high, PERFECT waves, PERFECT weather, at my favorite spot in the WORLD!....QUEENS at Waikiki! We ruled the point break like we were all the queens of Hawaii! HA! I'm not sure if the other surfers got mad at us because we were laughing and having so much fun, catching all the waves and reminding ourselves of why we are in this great industry!....It is so fun!
Andy's wife, Lindy, caught so many waves!She said that she caught her own waves without being pushed for the first time! THen she said she never went "right" before....;well, her great surf instructor (me), got her on a perfect wave and she went right! She gave a little "bootie shake" at the end out of pure excitement! So hillarious! We screamed and laughed the whole time together. (I'm sure some people were a bit irratated at us! ha) Lindy said she never had so much fun! And watching her, gave me so much joy!
Alysa (Pat's wife) was so syched too! She was catching waves on her own after the first two waves! Her waves, just like Lindy, would line up from the outside, all the way to the inside! Perfect waves. She said that she rode the best waves of her life! And I have to say, she had a great style too! She got so into it that she was mad at this guy and pointed to him as if he tried to cut her off....little did she know that she was the one that was in the way! Classic! Good thing I knew the guys who happens to be a nice, humble guy!
Kanoe, is Kai's wife. She looks like the Queen of Tahiti! Seriously! She is beautiful in stature, and inside and out! And she surfs soooooo good! I let her use my magic board and she surfed better than me! UGH! She made that board go places I never took it! ha!
Mahina, is Kanoe's daughter. She is the same age as Sister. Both these young girls together are a beautiful sight to see! Mahina hasn't surfed for a long time so she got on the board and got the passion back! She is only 15 years old so she can still practice and get into competition if that is what she likes. She has super good jeans...oh I mean genes so it is all a matter of time spent in the water! GO GIRL!
We ended up at Tiki's in Waikiki for some food to fill our hungery stomachs! YUM! What a way to end a day....watching the sunset go down, eating with good friends after a great time!

adults surf lessons Wow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though.
