This is a beautiful shot of my daughter duck diving under a wave. Jim Russi, Roxy's photographer, shot this the last time they shot together. I just love the feeling of the wave going over your back and you kinda just go with the flow of the ocean back up. When I started surfing, I was 20 years old and I didn't get the opportunity to have proper surf lessons as we give. So I just got on a board that my friends had and paddled out with them and for about 1 year pretty much sat there on my board watching everyone. So I would work on my duck diving and I am a great diver! ha! Then I learned to surf! ha!
My advise to anyone wanting to learn to surf? TAKE AT LEAST ONE LESSON....From us of course! :)
